In part of my growing up life we had no running water (used hand pumps), dug a whole in the ground for an outhouse (toilet), built pig pens and chicken coops. We trained dogs to hunt. We got food by hunting, fishing, trapping and raising a garden. We trapped muskrats, mink and skunks to skin them to cure their fur hides and sold them to a man from Sears and Roebucks that came to town once a week, in season!, to buy furs. We sold eggs and vegetables.

In my country school once a week we had two young lady Methodist Missionaries come and teach us Bible storied by using paste up figures of the characters on a felt board changing them for animation. The teacher was the leader of six grades where older student taught younger students. I was more interested in learning from others than from book learning. So I am a poor speller, failed first and seventh grade and quit after 9th grade. But later at 17, in the United States Air Force, the problem solving test rated me far above the average high school student and they sent me to Ground Radio and Rader Repair School where at the Base Education Office I took 5 tests of 2 hours each and got my High School Equivalency Diploma. I did so well that I took the 4 two hour College Equivalence Tests and passed two of the four areas for a College Equivalence Diploma.

My father was killed by a train hitting the car when I was 12, my older brother went to live with my grandparents and for two years I helped my mother care for my younger brothers and a sister.  I made money by picking pop bottles from a trash dump, mowed lawns and worked picking weeds in the "Muck" (name for a vegetable farming area with rich soil) where I pulled weeds for a dollar a day (older faster workers got 2.00$ a day) and you only got water to drink when you finished a row. This was just before they started enforcing the child labor laws.

Then when I was 14 years old my mother married Walter Rahn and we  moved to the city where my older brother returned.

Walter had immigrated from Germany when he was 12. Walter served in the American Army in WW2 and had many veteran friends. He had a Gas Station that he ran so well that Esso selected him to operate their Clarence, NY area gas station on the opening of the New York State Thruway.

The summers I was 14 and 15 I returned to my farm town, stayed with friends and worked on a farm harvesting hay.

At the end of my summers work I hitchhiked with nothing but the shirt on my back a number of times:
1. to Illinois  to and back at 14 with Jimmy Reynolds to Cheneut Air Force Base to visit Roger Chaplin,
2. to Arizona and Mexico and back at 15 alone to Davis Mohnton Air Force Base again to visit Roger Chaplin.
3. back from Indiana after quitting a traveling Magazine Crew at 16.
4. again later at 16 back from Colorado after quitting a traveling Magazine Crew again.
5. saved after being deported from Russia for no visa in 2000 at 60,
6. in 2002 deported from Ukraine and dumped broke at Belgorod Russia at 62. A Russian border guard getting off work took me home fed me and drove me over night to Varonish Russia and was going to lend me the money for the train to Pyatgorsk but we found a night club that accepted bahk cards and would give withdrawals at 5%
7. In 2011 driving from FL to DC my car got totaled in a one car accident at Baltimore MD on the Interstate. A women stopped, told me where to have my car toed and toke me there. I explained I was going to DC to use my interdisciplinary research degree in Mathematical Physics to testify at an FDA hearing the next day. She offered take me to DC but instead I had her take me to a car rental place.
I got to the FDA hearings on  Electro Convulsive
Therapy see 229_fda_2011-01-27_ect-hearings-my-testimony.mp4. I testified that one Shock Treatment is equivlant to dropping a 15 lbs baby from a 10 foot high building or three pistol slugs to the head!!!.

"With Nothing But The Shirt On Your Back!" or being helpless in a strabge place brings out Jesus Christ's Spirit in people!!!

Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two and Prayed for More (That is us folks!!! see Rev. 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.)

I learned the TRUTH of Jesus' words,

Luke 10:1-12 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
