1-6-18 * Islamic Preoccupation With A Perfect Moon Calendar

One of the definitions of insanity is to reason perfectly on a false assumption!

Hubal Hubal is a god associated with divination. His cult image stood in the Kaaba, and his rituals were in the form of throwing divination arrows before the image, in cases of virginity, death and marriage.[19] He is worshipped by many tribes, including the Quraysh, who controlled access to the image. Hubal's name also appears in a Nabataean inscription in Mada'in Saleh, along with Dushara and Manat.
'Amm 'Amm is the moon god of Qataban.[4] His attributes include the lightning bolts.[4] Amm is served by the judge-god Anbay and has the goddess Athirat as his consort.[5][6] Qatabanians are also known as Banu Amm, or "children of Amm".
Hawl Hawl was probably a moon god, as his name may have alluded to the lunar cycle. He was worshipped in Hadhramawt.
Ta'lab Ta'lab is a moon god primarily worshipped by the Sum'ay, a Sabaean tribal confederation which consisted of the tribes Hashid, Humlan and Yarsum. He was also associated with pastures. He had an important temple in Riyam.

Islam destroys Egyptian library

Early Muslims wanted to justify the veneration of the moon with a lunar calendar. They barrowed knowledge from the east as they went destroying temples and libraries. No matter how much deception is published and books destroyed they were not able to destroy the truth and they could not justify the veneration of the Moon in God's physical laws. For a quick background in Mathematics go to https://thewaythetruthandthelife.net/index/1_background/1-1_cosmological/1-1-11_math.htm. For a quick background in Physics go to https://thewaythetruthandthelife.net/index/1_background/1-1_cosmological/1-1-10_physics.htm. I have degrees in Mathematics, Physics and Education. It grieves me to see the falsification of science, mathematics and history (even in referenced library books) that is done by Muslims. If you want to see the work of men that loved God look at Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) who (a devote Christian) said that his greatest accomplishment was to go to God a virgin or look at Leonhard Euler (1707-1783) who died with a grandchild on his lap as he read the Christian Bible.

With cool nights and the light of a full Moon evening desert travel was common. So it is natural that many Arab tribes came to value the Moon.

Arab and Islamic Astronomy

During the period when Western civilization was experiencing the dark ages, between 700-1200 A.D., an Islamic empire stretched from Central Asia to southern Europe. Scholarly learning was highly prized by the people, and they contributed greatly to science and mathematics. Many classical Greek and Roman works were translated into Arabic, and scientists expanded on the ideas. For instance, Ptolemy's model of an earth-centered universe formed the basis of Arab and Islamic astronomy, but several Islamic astronomers made observations and calculations which were considerably more accurate than Ptolemy's. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of Islamic astronomy is the fact that it built on the sciences of two great cultures, the Greek and the Indian. Blending and expanding these offen different ideas led to a new science which later profoundly influenced Western scientific exploration beginning in the Renaissance
